Luminz Dance Company creates high voltage original dance that is built in collaboration with artists of other media. Luminz performances are highly imaginative and rich in texture and content.  Works have combined  circus, dance, physical theater, puppetry, music, visual art, technology and film.

Luminz has produced art circuses, cabarets, a silent film, window shows, evening length dance theater works, street performances, music videos and a touring repertory.  They have performed in festivals and theaters in New York, Canada and in Vermont and have received awards from the Vermont Arts Council, The National Endowment for the Arts, The The Vermont Community Foundation and the Vermont IDA program for the creation and presentation of their work.


Aurora Corsano is the Artistic Director of Luminz Dance Company and Founder of Luminz Studio Dance & Performing Arts Center.  As a dancer, she has performed in the work of post-modern choreographers Yoshiko Chuma, Mary O’Donnell Fulkerson and Angus Balbernie in Europe and New York.  From 1999 – 2003 Aurora performed through out the Netherlands and Spain as a choreographer and aerial dancer with Kreepa, an experimental improvisation group led by composer, Hilary Jeffery.  She also completed a six month residency with the group at STEIM, a center for the development of human/computer interface in the arts.  From 1990 – 2001 Aurora performed in commercial entertainment for Pink Inc based out of New York City and showing in such venues as the Whitney Museum and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.  Aurora has presented her choreography in venues in New York City, Europe, New Orleans and in Vermont.  Upon returning home to Vermont in 2003, Aurora founded Luminz which began as an artist’s “happening” called Luminzcircus and grew to become a center for professionals in dance, a school, venue and interdisciplinary performance company.
